Here is a sneak peek at some of the album pages I’m working on at the moment. These spreads are from Jo & Todd’s wedding a couple of weeks ago. Jo loves big images, so I’ve used most of the page whenever possible. I’ve also use a few subtle textures on some of the images and backgrounds – a bit hard to see in the thumbnails below, but they look cool.

And while on the topic of “work in progress”, here is a little before and after photoshoped images. We are often asked if we photoshop our images, the answer is – yes all photos that make it into the album get retouched. Sometimes a little, sometimes (like those below) a little extra.

The above image has fairly heavy retouching of the colour tones and contrast.
It’s designed to tie in with the album background & other images on the page.

Here is some more subtle enhancement. Most of our retouching is done to add some punch to the colours, however here I’ve also removed the out of focus table from the bottom right.
This is about as heavy handed as we get. Any distracting elements in the hallway have been removed (green exit signs, smoke alarm, air-conditioning vents etc). We have also overlayed a texture and burnt in the edges to add some drama. The bride herself has not be altered in anyway.
